What You Need to Know to Conduct a Clinical Trial and How to Avoid Common Pitfalls
Program Overview
The International Psoriasis Council (IPC) identified a need for educating clinicians interested in clinical research, as well as nurses and administrators, on the various aspects of conducting clinical trials, hopefully, to increase the number of clinical researchers. This initiative, consisting of 15 original chapters, is derived from a clinical conference sponsored by IPC to discuss important elements of conducting clinical research in both private practice and academic settings. It is designed to help the reader gain insight into aspects of conducting good clinical research, identifying common pitfalls, and providing practical and technical details of the clinical research process. This is a resource for those interested in becoming involved in their first clinical trial or those who are already involved and looking for greater participation.
