Claudia de la Cruz, MD

Claudia De la Cruz, MD, is a dermatologist in Santiago, Chile. She earned her d egree at Universidad De Chile and was an Assistant Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile between 2005 and 2013. Dr. de la Cruz is the Founder and Director of Clínica Dermacross since 2010 in Santiago. She has served on the Board of Directors of the International Psoriasis Council since 2017 and is a regional coordinator for Latin America for the Global Psoriasis Atlas project. Her focus has been in working for psoriasis in her country through the Chilean Society of Dermatology, at the beginning of her career, and then for Latin America, where she has lead the IPC Latin American working group together with Ricardo Romiti from Brazil. In her role as regional coordinator for Latin America for the Global Psoriasis Atlas, she has focused on collecting information on the incidence of psoriasis in Latin America, helping to build a net of experts through the region. She has helped raise awareness and improve access to treatment in the region, evaluating the different barriers to access in Latin America and other underserved areas in the world. She has also worked in education at the IPC, first on the International Fellowship program, that helps train new leaders in the psoriasis field, and currently as chair of the Masterclass Steering Committee.

Cristina Echeverría, MD

Dr. Echeverría is a medical doctor at IREP (Instituto de Rehabilitación Psicofísica) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She received a medical degree (Hon) at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Three years later, she completed her Internal Medicine Residency at CEMIC (Centro de Educación Médica e Investigaciones Clínicas). She earned a degree in Dermatology from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) where she currently serves as an assistant professor in dermatology. Dr. Echeverría was a visiting doctor at Baylor University Houston, Texas. She has been a long time supporter of the Sociedad Latinoamericana de Psoriasis (SOLAPSO) and is currently the President of SOARPSO (Sociedad Argentina de Psoriasis). She is an Editorial  member of the International Journal of Women´s Dermatology, Coordinator of the ECHO Psoriasis Project Argentina and ECHO Atopic Dermatitis Project Argentina.

César Gonzalez, MD

Dr. Gonzalez has written more than 20 articles in national and international journals. He has authored and co-authored several chapters in textbooks of dermatology and has been editor of evidence-based guidelines for the management of psoriasis in Colombia. In 2010, he received the national award for research in the XXVII and XXVIII National Congress of dermatology and dermatologic surgery respectively. He is an active member of the Colombian Association of Dermatology and Surgical Dermatology (AsoColDerma), the American Academy of Dermatology, and currently is the delegate for Colombia in the Latin America Society of Psoriasis (SOLAPSO). In 2017, the Annual Meeting of Latin American Dermatologists (RADLA) was held in Bogotá, and Dr. Gonzalez served as the congress president. Recognized for his research in psoriasis, he participates as a speaker at numerous international conferences in dermatology, rheumatology and internal medicine.

Angela Londoño, MD
CES University
Medellín, Colombia

Dr. Londoño is the head of the dermatology program at CES University in Medellín, specializing in clinical and surgical dermatology. She graduated from the University Pontifica Bolivariana's dermatology program in 2004 and received her master's degree in epidemiology from CES University in 2009. She is the co-coordinator of the Colombian Group of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (ColPsor), a group of dermatologists and rheumatologists interested in promoting psoriasis knowledge and improving the quality of life of patients who have these conditions. The group is supported by the Colombian Association of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (Asocolderma). A founding member of the Latin American Society of Psoriasis (SOLAPSO), Dr. Londoño also served as editor of evidence-based guidelines for the management of psoriasis in Colombia in 2012 and 2015. She has participated in various psoriasis clinical trials and has authored various articles in national and international journals.

Matias Maskin, MD

Dr. Maskin is assistant professor at the Section of Dermatology, Department of Medicine, Centro de Educación Médica e Investigaciones Clínicas (CEMIC) University, at Buenos Aires. He specializes in internal medicine and dermatology at the University of Buenos Aires and serves as chief of dermatology and coordinator of the psoriasis section at the Instituto Universitario CEMIC. Dr. Maskin is a founding member of the Latin American Society of Psoriasis (SOLAPSO) and is active in psoriasis education programs with SOLAPSO in Argentina, and is part of the SOLAPSO Biosimilars Consensus in Argentina. A member of IPC's Latin America working group, Dr. Maskin has authored national and international publications, has served as an investigator for many psoriasis clinical trials, and has participated in many national and international congress presentations pertaining to psoriasis.

Enrique Rivas, MD

Enrique Rivas, MD is a pediatric dermatologist in Guatemala. Dr. Rivas is a medical investigative director for DERMOS research center, working in monoclonal antibodies psoriasis therapy trials, where he also maintains a private practice. Certified as medical and surgical dermatologist at the Instituto de Dermatología y Cirugía de Piel de Guatemala – INDERMA and pediatric dermatologist at Instituto Nacional de Pediatría - INP in Mexico.

Dr. Rivas was an adjunct professor of pediatric dermatology and clinical immunology and teaching and research coordinator at INDERMA (2009-2011). He has authored numerous papers and made several national and international presentations on psoriasis. He is the Global Psoriasis Atlas representative for Guatemala.

Peter van de Kerkhof, MD, PhD, Chief Medical Officer

Professor Peter van de Kerkhof served as head of the department Dermatology at the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre, The Netherlands, since 1992 and is currently a Professor Emeritus there. He graduated in medicine from the Catholic University of Nijmegen in 1978 and trained in Dermatology at the St. Radboud Hospital, Nijmegen. In 1983 and in 1990 he completed his theses in the faculty of medicine and faculty of sciences resp. Between 1980 and 1984 he completed his training as a dermatologist. Research interests of Professor van de Kerkhof are psoriasis, disorders of keratinization, inflammation and clinical pharmacology of the skin. He has been president of major European Dermatological societies such as European Society of Dermatological Research and European Dermatology Forum. He is member of the editorial board of several international dermatological journals. He is an author or coauthor of more than 600 peer reviewed dermatological journals. He joined the IPC Staff as Chief Medical Officer in July 2018.

Chris Griffiths qualified in Medicine from St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School, London. He trained in Dermatology at St Mary’s Hospital, London, and at the University of Michigan, USA. He was appointed to the Foundation Chair in Dermatology at the University of Manchester in 1994 and is an honorary consultant dermatologist at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. He founded the Manchester Dermatopharmacology Unit and Manchester Psoriasis Service in 1994. Chris is an NIHR Senior Investigator and Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences. He has published 650 Pubmed cited articles in scientific journals (h-index 94), and is Editor-in-Chief of Rook’s Textbook of Dermatology. Chris is a Past- President of the British Association of Dermatologists, is President-Elect of the European Society for Dermatological Research and a Past- President and co-founder of the International Psoriasis Council. He has long-standing research interests in all aspects of psoriasis and directs the British Association of Dermatologists Biologics and Immunomodulators Register (BADBIR) and the MRC Psoriasis Stratification to Optimise Relevant Therapy (PSORT) consortium. Chris is a recipient of the Sir Archibald Gray Medal for services to British Dermatology and was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), for services to dermatology, in the Queen’s 2018 New Year’s Honours.

Alice Gottlieb, MD, PhD

Dra. Malvido is a Medical Specialist in Dermatology at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) in Argentina. She completed postgraduate work in Facial and Body Aesthetic Medicine with the Argentine Society of Aesthetic Medicine. Dra. Malvido has a Diploma in Psychodermatology from the Academy of Dermatology and Psychiatry (ADEPSI) at Maimonides University in Argentina. She is on the staff of the Dermatology Service of the Center for Medical Education and Clinical Research (CEMIC) as well as Professor of the University Diploma / Online Course of Psychodermatology of the Academy of Dermatology and Psychiatry (ADEPSI).
She is a member of numerous medical and academic organizations including: European Society for Dermatology and Psychiatry (ESDaP), Academy of Dermatology and Psychiatry (ADEPSI), Psychodermatology Commission of the Argentine Society of Psoriasis (SOARPSO), Ibero-Latin American College of Dermatology (CILAD), and the Psychodermatology Working Group of the Argentine Society of Dermatology (SAD).

Ronald Vender, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Ron Vender is a Dermatologist who currently practices in Hamilton. He is the founder and director of Dermatrials Research Incorporated and Venderm Innovations in Psoriasis.   He has participated as principal investigator in over 100 clinical trials. He is Associate Clinical Professor at McMaster University in the Department of Medicine, Division of Dermatology. He is Honorary Staff at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton ON. Dr. Vender serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery reviewer for the JEADV, JAAD, and BJD. He is one of eight Canadians elected to the International Psoriasis Council, a member of the Canadian Professors of Dermatology and the Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis. He represents Canada on several Global educational steering committees as well as international advisory boards. He has published many peer-reviewed manuscripts and has had posters, abstracts and lectures presented internationally.
