Claudia de la Cruz received her medical degree from Universidad de Chile, Sede Oriente, Hospital de Salvador, Hospital, U. Chile, Chile. She received her dermatology training at Universidad de Chile, Hospital Jose Joaquinaguirre . She maintains academic affiliations with Universidad Católica de Chile as an Assistant Professor in Dermatology. She is also very active in the Chilean Society of Dermatology and is the coordinator of the psoriasis group and is a member of the National Ministry of Health Committee for Psoriasis Disease. Dr. de la Cruz has also published several papers on psoriasis and has presented at both national and international congresses on psoriasis and related issues. She is fluent in Spanish and English.

Ricardo Romiti, MD, PhD

Romiti obtained his medical degree from the University of São Paulo's Faculty of Medicine in 1992. Three years later, he completed his residency in the university's dermatology department. He was a fellow at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Munich, Germany, and was a visiting doctor at the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Fla., and the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wis., in the U.S. Professor Romiti has authored or co-authored numerous papers published in national and international dermatology journals. Since 2005, he has been a member of the evaluation board for the dermatology faculty of the Faculty of 1000 Medicine. In addition to the IPC, Professor Romiti is a member of the Sociedade Latinoamericana de Psoríase (SOLAPSO). He is fluent in German, English and Spanish.

Alan Menter, MD

Dr. Menter is Chairman of the Division of Dermatology and Director of the Dermatology Residency program for Baylor University Medical Center, and Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, both in Dallas. After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, Professor Menter completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and fellowships at Guy's Hospital in London and St. John's Hospital for Diseases of the Skin in London, as well as the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Menter is board-certified in dermatology. He is involved in multiple clinical, investigative and drug research studies, particularly those relating to psoriasis. In August 2004, he founded the International Psoriasis Council (IPC).

Peter van de Kerkhof, MD, PhD, Chief Medical Officer

Professor Peter van de Kerkhof served as head of the department Dermatology at the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre, The Netherlands, since 1992 and is currently a Professor Emeritus there. He graduated in medicine from the Catholic University of Nijmegen in 1978 and trained in Dermatology at the St. Radboud Hospital, Nijmegen. In 1983 and in 1990 he completed his theses in the faculty of medicine and faculty of sciences resp. Between 1980 and 1984 he completed his training as a dermatologist. Research interests of Professor van de Kerkhof are psoriasis, disorders of keratinization, inflammation and clinical pharmacology of the skin. He has been president of major European Dermatological societies such as European Society of Dermatological Research and European Dermatology Forum. He is member of the editorial board of several international dermatological journals. He is an author or coauthor of more than 600 peer reviewed dermatological journals. He joined the IPC Staff as Chief Medical Officer in July 2018.

Matias Maskin, MD

Dr. Maskin is assistant professor at the Section of Dermatology, Department of Medicine, Centro de Educación Médica e Investigaciones Clínicas (CEMIC) University, at Buenos Aires. He specializes in internal medicine and dermatology at the University of Buenos Aires and serves as chief of dermatology and coordinator of the psoriasis section at the Instituto Universitario CEMIC. Dr. Maskin is a founding member of the Latin American Society of Psoriasis (SOLAPSO) and is active in psoriasis education programs with SOLAPSO in Argentina, and is part of the SOLAPSO Biosimilars Consensus in Argentina. A member of IPC's Latin America working group, Dr. Maskin has authored national and international publications, has served as an investigator for many psoriasis clinical trials, and has participated in many national and international congress presentations pertaining to psoriasis.

Fernando Valenzuela , MD

Dr. Valenzuela is currently Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Chile in Santiago. He has received multiple awards from his medical school days to the present in addition to working closely with Dr. Kim Papp. He is highly regarded by all his colleagues in Latin America and attends all SOLAPSO and RADLA meetings in Latin America where he is frequently featured as a main speaker. He has been working and publishing about tofacitinib clinical efficacy, its association with viral infections and the improvement on quality of life.
