Georg Stingl received his residency training in dermatovenerology at the Medical School of Vienna’s University. After working as a postdoctoral fellow and, later, as a guest scientist at the US National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, he became staff physician/scientist at the Departments of Dermatology in Innsbruck and, later, in Vienna. In 1992, he was appointed professor and chairman of the Division of Immunology, Allergy & Infectious Diseases and, in 2016, of the entire Department of Dermatology of Vienna’s Medical University. She obtained her dermatology training at the university and her PhD in medical sciences in melanosome transport, awarded with the Roche Fundamental Research Award. Research stays were performed at Boston University, United States; Leiden Center for Electron Microscopy, the Netherlands; the dermatology department at Hôpital E Herriot, Lyon, France; and St John’s Dermatology Department, London, United Kingdom. Romiti obtained his medical degree from the University of São Paulo's Faculty of Medicine in 1992. Three years later, he completed his residency in the university's dermatology department. He was a fellow at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Munich, Germany, and was a visiting doctor at the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Fla., and the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wis., in the U.S.

Professor Romiti has authored or co-authored numerous papers published in national and international dermatology journals. Since 2005, he has been a member of the evaluation board for the dermatology faculty of the Faculty of 1000 Medicine. In addition to the IPC, Professor Romiti is a member of the Sociedade Latinoamericana de Psoríase (SOLAPSO). He is fluent in German, English and Spanish.

Professor Iversen, an IPC councilor since 2009, is professor in dermatology at the University of Aarhus, Denmark, where he also teaches dermato-venereology. He received his clinical education and obtained a doctoral degree from the same university. Professor Iversen's main research interests are psoriasis and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. Most of his research activities are related to signal transduction and immunology. Professor Iversen has served as a guest researcher and has been a speaker at international conferences in Asia, Europe and the United States. Dr. Mohamed EL-Komy was born October 1972 in Cairo, Egypt where he obtained his medical degree at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. Professor Bachelez is professor at the Department of Dermatology of the Saint-Louis University Hospital in Paris, France. Since 2004, Professor Bachelez has been full professor of clinical dermatology at the Université Paris-Diderot/Université de Paris, where he received his Ph.D. in immunology in 1999. Professor Bachelez’s clinical and scientific research focuses on immunogenetics of inflammatory skin diseases at the Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale (INSERM) at the Imagine Institute in Necker Hospital. His areas of scientific interest include molecular mechanisms of psoriasis and psoriasis-related diseases, and other immune-mediated and inflammatory skin diseases. Professor Bachelez has received several scientific awards, including the Robert Degos award. He is a member of several national and international scientific societies, including the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and the European Dermatology Forum (EDF). He is a board member of the International Psoriasis Council, and general secretary-Treasurer-elect of the European Society for Dermatological Research (ESDR).

Professor Bachelez has published more than 230 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, Journal of Clinical Investigation, and Arthritis and Rheumatism as leading author.

Denis Jullien, MD, PhD, is Professor of dermatology and Head of the Department of Dermatology, Hôpital Edouard Herriot, Hospices Civils de Lyon, University of Lyon, in Lyon, France.

Professor Jullien received his medical degree, PhD and postdoctoral qualification from University Claude Bernard Lyon I (UCBL-I), having trained as a research fellow in the Department of Dermatology at the University of California, Los Angeles under Dr Robert L. Modlin. He completed his residency at one of UCBL-I affiliated teaching hospitals, becoming certified in Dermatology and Venereal Diseases in 1997.

Professor Jullien’s research and clinical interests focus primarily on inflammatory skin diseases (notably psoriasis) and the skin immune system. He was involved in the first human hand allograft project. Professor Jullien holds professional memberships with the French Society of Dermatology and college des Enseignants de Dermatologie, while also serving on the Scientific Board of the French Society of Dermatology, scientific Board and steering committee of the French Psoriasis prospective observational cohort PsoBioteq, scientific Board of the Psoriasis Group of the French Society of Dermatology.

Professor Jullien has also published a number of articles, and several chapters in textbooks, many of which focus on the pathogenesis and treatment of psoriasis, in a variety of international peer-reviewed journals, including The Lancet, Journal of Immunology, Journal of Clinical Investigation, Journal of Investigative Dermatology, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, among others.

Carle Paul is Prof. and Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse, France. The department is the Dermatology reference center for the 3 Mio population of the Midi-Pyrenees region. He completed his dermatology training in 1988-1994 at different university hospitals in Paris, including a one-year research scholarship in the immunology laboratory of JF Bach at Paris Descartes University and INSERM U25 working on mechanism of toxic epidermal necrolysis. Carle Paul holds a master in Fundamental Immunology and a PhD in Pharmacology. He is Board member of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology since 2008, member of the American Academy of Dermatology and member of the European Dermatology Forum. Carle Paul is co-inventor of 8 patents and author of >150 peer reviewed publications. Professor Augustin, born 1962 in G̦ttingen, is professor for health economics and for dermatology at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. He is the Director of the Institute for Health Services Research in Dermatology and Nursing, Head of the Comprehensive Wound Center (CWC), Chair of the Center for Dermatological Research (CeDeF) and Chair of the German Center for Health Services Research in Dermatology (CVderm). Prof. Augustin is a founding member of the Hamburg Institute for Health Economics (HCHE), the largest Center for Health Economics in Germany.
In his institute Prof. Augustin integrates clinical research, health services research and basic research with clinical practice. Special topics of research by Prof. Augustin are skin cancer, chronic inflammatory diseases, allergies and chronic wounds. A particular field of research is the European Dermatology Health Survey and the program CLIMAderm climate change and skin diseases.
He is the editor, author or contributor of over 60 medical books and has authored about 350 scientific articles. Prof. Augustin is a senior consultant to the German Ministry of Health, to several Statutory health insurance companies and to a large number of companies in the health sector. He has been an expert to the German National Parliament (Bundestag), and he is the spokesman of the German Society for Dermatology to the German Federal Joint Committee (GBA) and to the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Medicine (IQWiG).

Dr. Mrowietz is the Editor-in-Chief of the Archives of Dermatological Research, and a member of the Executive Board of the German Dermatological Association, as well as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Psoriasis Association. He is also a member of numerous national and international dermatological societies. Prof. Mrowietz' main scientific and clinical interests are psoriasis and psoriasis therapy, wound healing and pathological scarring. He has 118 published articles referenced in the Medline data base, and has written numerous chapters in textbooks incl. Fitzpatrick's Dermatology in General Medicin and Braun-Falco's Dermatologie und Venerology. Furthermore, Dr. Mrowietz has written four books in German about psoriasis (for patients and physicians), immunosuppressive therapy and cyclosporin in dermatology. Jörg C. Prinz is Full Professor of Dermatology and Venereology and Deputy Chair of the Clinic for Dermatology and Allergology of the Ludwig-Maximilian University (LMU) in Munich, Germany. Beyond his commitments in patient care and teaching at medical school his main research interest is in the analysis of the T-cell mediated immunopathogenesis of psoriasis and the identification of the target cells and autoantigens of psoriatic the pathogenic psoriatic immune response; he is also interested in developing novel therapies for T-cell mediated autoimmune disorders, and has been actively involved in preparing evidence-based guidelines for psoriasis treatment. Kristian Reich, MD, is Professor of Dermatology at the Georg-August-University Gottingen and partner at the Dermatologikum Hamburg, an international centre of excellence for dermatological patient care. He also holds the position of Medical Director at SCIderm GmbH, where he is actively involved in clinical trials, scientific research, and pharmacoeconomic projects in dermatology. In addition to his daily work as consultant in dermatology, venereology, and allergology he serves as academic lecturer in immunology, allergology, and genetic epidemiology. Professor Reich received his medical degree from the Technical University Munich and his additional clinical and scientific education from the UK, Harvard Medical School and Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in the USA. Prof. Reich has won the Herxheimer Prize of the German Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology. He is widely published, and is a member of the Psoriasis Guideline Group of the German Society of Dermatology, and he is on the scientific advisory boards of the German Psoriasis Foundation and the German Psoriasis Registry. Dr. Robert Sabat is head of the Psoriasis Research & Treatment Center and the Molecular Immunopathology at the University Hospital Charite in Berlin, Germany. He attained the early and middle education stages in Poland. In 1995 he graduated from Humboldt University in Berlin and completed his medical internship and residency at the Institute for Medical Immunology, University Hospital Charite. In 1999, he went to Schering Inc. to work as a dermatology research group head for three years where he directed projects about the molecular mechanisms underlying the immunosuppressive effects of interleukin-10 and about novel cytokines. In 2003, he became head of Molecular Immunopathology at the University Hospital Charite that links clinical research of the Dermatology. of Dermatology with basic science of the Institute for Medical Immunology. Prof. Dr Diamant Thaci graduated in 1989 with a medical degree from the University of Pristina, Pristina, Kosovo. He remained in Pristina until 1992, specializing in dermatology and venereology, before taking up a post in the Department of Dermatology and Venerology at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. He became a board certified dermatologist and venereologist in 1995 and, from 1997, Dr Thaci has held the roles of Senior Consulting Specialist in Dermatology, Director of Clinical Research, and Head of Photodermatology Division at the university. He became Associate Professor of Dermatology, Venerology and Allergology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, and in 2013 was appointed Professor and Head of the Comprehensive Center for Inflammation Medicine, University of Luebeck, Luebeck, Germany. Dr Thaci's research experience covers immunology and all stages of clinical drug development. Between 2002 and 2013 he was involved in more than 200 investigator?driven psoriasis trials, and was lead investigator on several national and international multicenter trials. In addition to his clinical commitments, Dr Thaci lectures on scoring systems in dermatology and is involved in the training of study personnel and publishing articles and book chapters in dermatology. Dr Thaci has been a recipient of the Theodor?Stern Foundation Award for excellent clinical research. For psoriasis patients diagnosed with COVID-19 disease, the IPC recommends physicians discontinue or postpone use of immunosuppressant medications. This is in accordance with established psoriasis treatment guidelines, which state immunosuppressive psoriasis treatments are contraindicated in patients with active infections.
