Dr. Towhida Noor is a consultant dermatologist at Matador Diagnostic and Wellness Center and an Executive Member of the Psoriasis Awareness Club Dhaka, Bangladesh. Currently, she is focused on the mental health issues of psoriasis patients, assessing the psychological impact of the disease and the quality of life of psoriasis patients in Bangladesh. She is also coordinating a multi-center computerized data collection project for psoriasis patients and training primary healthcare providers on assisting psoriasis patients. Dr. Noor has presented papers on psoriasis at national and international conferences.
Her work is focused on the compliance of psoriasis patients on treatments and tackling comorbidities with a special interest in nail and childhood psoriasis, phototherapy, and other dermatoses. In 2019, Dr. Noor attended the World Congress of Dermatology held in Milan, Italy, with the rising star scholarship. In the same year, she was awarded the ‘Young Dermatologist’ award for her achievements and contributions to dermatology by the Bangladesh Academy of Dermatology. To date, she has eight publications, including three original articles.
Dr. Noor will study with IPC Councilor Peter Foley at the Skin Health Institute, Fitzroy, Australia.
